Expanding the Affordable Care Act with former Sen. Al Franken and Brandy Chambers
Thursday, 9/24/2020 – 4:00-5:00 pm
Trump and some Republicans are rushing a SCOTUS nominee despite the Senate denying Pres. Obama’s nominee 11 months from an election. This Thursday, Brandy will ask former Sen. Al Franken what we can do to pressure Senators to not take a SCOTUS vote until January 22, protect the ACA, and how Medicaid expansion saved lives and money in Minnesota.
He was the 60th Senate vote for the Affordable Care Act, and a decade later, former Minnesota Senator Al Franken is fighting for Americans in the few remaining states which have not expanded Medicaid and left affordable and preventative health care out of reach for millions, like here in Texas.
We’re thrilled that Sen. Franken has learned about our opponent’s votes against Medicaid expansion, and her callous laughter about it. Sen. Franken knows life and death access to a doctor is no joke, and he’s an expert on comedy.
Clear your calendar for Thursday, September 24, 4-5pm, and help us raise the funds to share our life and quality of life-saving message.
