Early voting!
Early voting in Texas begins Tuesday, Oct. 13, and runs through Friday, Oct. 30.
You can vote early in one of two ways: by showing up in person during the prescribed early voting period or by voting by mail.
Early voting is the way to go in 2020. Generally, there are fewer people showing up to vote early, which is an important factor to consider during the Covid-19 pandemic. Also, unlike on election day itself (Nov. 3), registered and eligible voters may vote at ANY early voting location located in their county of residence.
Live outside of Texas? Vote.org is a great source to check voter registration and learn about voting in your state & county.
Your county election site will have info on where you can vote early, what times early voting is available, and sample ballots. While election day (Nov. 3) voting times run 7 a.m.-7 p.m., early voting times may differ, so check with your county elections office to check on early voting times.
Need help remembering to vote? The League of Women Voters can set you up with election reminders!
The newsletter we wrote two months before election day has lots of good info on voting and making your plan to vote. Check it out!
